Floyd Mayweather met with Conor McGregor earlier for the first time during their press conference at the Staples Centre in Los Angeles.
Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor shared a stage for the first time ahead of next month’s £500million mega-fight in Los Angeles.
The undefeated American and the UFC star will lock horns in the boxing ring on August 26, but before their Las Vegas date of destiny comes around, there is plenty of hype to be built up.
Tonight’s event at the Staples Centre is the first of a four-city whistle stop tour, which sees the pair undergo promotional duties in LA, Toronto and New York and finally Wembley Arena in the UK, when the pair touch down in London on Friday.
The press conference started with Mayweather and McGregor having a stare off and figuring each other out.
Conor McGregor seemed very confident as he said, “I am going to knock him out inside four rounds, mark my words”.
Floyd Mayweather said, “I am an old man, I am not even the same man I was twenty years ago, I am not the same fighter I was ten years ago, I am not the same fighter I was five years ago, I am not the same fighter I was two years ago, but I got enough to beat you”
The rest of the press conference tour will be exciting to see, as two of the biggest men in their sports with the biggest mouths collide.
